Here it is August, and the heat is almost unbearable outside, but that makes for good quilting time inside!! I have been trying to finish quilting a very large king sized quilt that I started for someone I know it has been 2 years ago, if not more. With my hips getting bad it is hard to make it upstairs to the quilting machine. I made the mistake of moving it from the front living room where it took up all my room in there, to a bedroom upstairs thinking the exercise would be good. Well it is good when I can get up there, but the next day I pay for it physically. So about every couple of weeks I get up there and do a row or two. It is getting there and I hope she likes it. I have to say, she has been very patient with me and at this point will be surprised when it is finished.
For a new note!! Since my computer is downstairs I have taken advantage of the time here to start working on my pattern for the Texas A&M quilt I did a while back. It is pictured below. It has been fun, drawing it out and getting all my figures correct and getting the pattern together. I have improved the look of the quilt I think!! I am going to call it "Team Spirit". This pattern can be made for any team by adjusting the coloring to the team of your choice. The next job will be making a sample pattern. I already have one store interested in the pattern so I am trying to speed things up!!
Well, that is it for now. Take care, smile and give your loved ones a big hug!! Hugs do wonders!! With love, Janet
